The Douglas County Young Republicans would like to recognize our Honorary Members for 2004
Douglas County Clerk and Recorder Carole Murray
Carole Murray was elected Douglas County
Clerk and Recorder in November, 1998 and took office in January, 1999. Her goal
as an executive serving county citizens is to provide the leadership in her
department to support the best possible customer service. She is proud of the
personalized service her employees give to the citizens of the county.
Murray is active in the Colorado State Association of Clerks and Recorders
as the co-chair of the Legislative Committee. The purpose of the committee is to
assist the state legislature as it passes laws related to the clerks’ offices.
She was responsible for the legislation outlining the future conduct of
electronic real estate recording, and serves on several elections and motor
vehicle task forces.
“Life is good,” Murray has said. “Living in Douglas County, with the
challenges and opportunities presented by its growth are enough to keep anyone
engaged. But, to be here during humanity’s transition into the digital age is
the kind of dynamic change that keeps me happy going to work every day. I know I
can make a difference, and that is important to me.”
